S.V. Moffett Signs Historic Deal with Harris Golf
February 01, 2009
SV Moffett Co, Inc, recently finalized the largest single golf equipment sale in the company’s long history by delivering an extensive package of Jacobsen mowers, sprayers, aerators and utility vehicles to golf course developer, contractor and operator Harris Golf.

Bob Hobbs, a veteran sales representative with S.V. Moffett, worked closely with Jeff Harris, president of Harris Golf, to close a complex deal consisting of more than 70 pieces of Jacobsen equipment. The package was distributed to five different New England golf courses over an eight-week span.
“Bob did a tremendous sales job, and the entire Moffett organization offered an enormous amount of support,” said Lynn Hartrick, CEO of S.V. Moffett. “We were able to deliver the new equipment and remove the existing fleets without ever missing a step or interfering with the daily operations of the courses involved. This was an impressive accomplishment and a testament to the talent and experience of our organization and the personnel from Jacobsen that helped make it happen.”
Ralph Nicotera, Jacobsen vice president of sales, Candy Kettler, with the Jacobsen implementation team, and Mike Ryan, of Textron Financial Corporation, were all directly involved and worked hard to guarantee the equipment and financing were delivered on a tight schedule.
“The Harris Group is highly pleased with both their new equipment and the service that they are continuing to receive,” Hartrick said. “New England is a relatively new market for us, but this transaction clearly demonstrates that S.V. Moffett and Jacobsen are dedicated to bringing the highest level of product and service to golf courses across the area.”
S.V. Moffett has maintained a reputation as a prominent, trusted Jacobsen turf equipment dealer to golf courses and athletic facilities across the northeast U.S. for more than 40 years. Today, with three offices located across the region, S.V. Moffett provides coverage for Jacobsen throughout much of New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine, where the Harris Group is headquartered.
